Taylor County Methane Recovery Electric Generating Plant
- A landfill methane gas to electric generating station located at Charing in Taylor County, Georgia. The landfill owner/operator is Allied Waste Management. Initial generating capacity is 4.0 megawatts. Online since October 2003.
Tallassee Shoals Low Impact Hydro Project
- Located on the Middle Oconee River, Tallassee Shoals began producing 2.3 megawatts of electricity from water in 2005. It is a certified facility by the Low Impact Hydro Institute.

Sunpower for Schools Project 
Rabun Gap
The Rabun Gap Plant uses woody waste form Georgia’s forestry industry as the primary fuel source in a conventional boiler for the generation of steam to power a steam turbine electric generator. This plant produces 16.3 MGW of green energy and is green-e certified. Online since January 2010.
Rooker Solar Project
Our first solar project is on the roof of a Rooker
industrial building in Athens. It is comprised of
125kw of Suniva panels delivering energy to
Green Power EMC through an interconnection
provided by Jackson EMC. Online since September 2010.
